 인사는 시간을 초월한 약속. 인사는 과거의 안부를 묻고, 현재의 평화를 빌며, 미래에 다시 만날 날을 기약하는 것이다. 우리가 다시 마주하는 것이 어렵고, 이번이 우리의 마지막인 것을 안다면 이런 형태의 아쉬움들이 우리의 세계를 안전하게 하지 않을까?
 인사는 그 안에 담긴 인간적인 연결과 공동체의 가치를 향해있다. “잘 가”라고 말할 때, 그것은 단순한 작별이 아니라, “다음에 다시 만나자”라는 숨겨진 바람을 담고 있다. 우리는 어떻게 만나게 되었을까? 우연처럼 보이지만, 그 안에 수많은 선택과 상황이 얽혀 있겠지. 스쳐 지나가는 모든 사람까지...우리는 잔인하지만 동시에 친절하며 연약하다.
끝없는 바다 한가운데에서 빠져본 적 있어? 지금도 그날의 기억이 생생하다. 사랑하는 사람을 잃는다는 것은 도대체 어떤 것일까?

서로가 두 번 다시 인사를 나눌 수 없다는 것.

우리가 살고 있는 세상이 예측 불가능하고, 기괴하고, 때로는 비정한 곳 일지라도, 설령 서로 경쟁하고, 짓밟고, 끌어내리고, 제압할지라도,
미래를 향해 어른이나 아이 할 것 없이 함께 애를 쓰고, 슬픔 속에서도 미래에 대한 희망의 끈을 놓지 않고, 불가피하게 맞이하는 이별의 순간들 속에서도
사랑하는 이들을 기억하고, 그들의 관계를 소중히 여기며 살아가는 것.

너무나 당연한 말임에도 , 우리는 잃어가고 있다. 하루하루 완전히 달라진 현실을 겪는 것 같다.
우리가 믿었던 가치들이 보잘것없어져 보이지만 서로를 그리워하고 애틋하게 생각한다면, 세상이 조금 달라지지 않을까?

인사는 언제나 다시 만날 것처럼. 우리 서로 좋은 감정들은 꼭 전하자.
“오글거린다” 같은 핑계는 저리 치워버리고.
해는 사라지는 것이 아니다. 다른 곳으로 갈 뿐. 해는 어느 방향에 있어도 아름답다.
